The world is divided among wine-lovers and beer-lovers. Though everyone has their poison, the most divided opinion comes when one has to choose between wine and beer. It may seem like each clans would be up in arms against the other, however like in all cases there is one winner. When it comes to beer and wine, wine wins because of the following properties:
1. The French paradox
About 200 years ago, an Irish doctor observed that according to the Harvard School of Public Health angina (chest pain) was more common in Ireland than France, which could be attributed to the French diet habits. Though, they consume a lot of butter and cheese, their consumption of red wine is also higher, which could be the reason.

Shouldn’t this article be titled “why we think wine is better than beer”? Oh yeah, and it isnt.
“average 5-ounce glass of red wine contains 125 calories, but craft brews can pack as much as 300 calories per bottle”
the average bottle of craft beer is 12 ounces, if 5 ounces of red wine equals 125 calories, then 1 ounce equals 25 calories, if you raise that to 12 ounces for the wine you get 300 calories, or the same as an equal volume of craft beer.
The older a wine is doesn’t necessarily mean its better…
Both are cool
